Why is this puja performed?
Nakshatra Shanti is a puja linked to a person’s birth star. Families arrange it for a birthday, a birth-related custom or a particular shanti advised by their pandit. Tell us the reason you have been asked to perform it so the pandit can explain the correct ceremony.
A birthday nakshatra puja and a Gand Mool shanti can be quite different. Confirm the exact puja name, materials and japa count before booking.

How the puja is performed
The steps below explain what usually happens. Before you book, the pandit will confirm the readings, their number and any differences at your temple.
Choosing the right shanti
The pandit checks the birth details and the advice you have received. He explains which shanti is needed and what it will involve.
Sankalp and Ganesh puja
The sankalp is taken with the person’s name and birth-star details. Ganesh puja and the opening prayers follow.
Kalash and deity worship
The pandit prepares the kalash and worships the deity associated with the nakshatra, using the method for the ceremony you have booked.
Mantra japa
The pandit recites the nakshatra and deity mantras to the agreed count. Any extra graha japa will be stated separately.
Havan and shanti offerings
If the ceremony includes a havan, you join the ahutis. The pandit explains any special custom that applies to the birth-related rite.
Closing blessings
The ceremony finishes with the closing offerings, aarti and blessings. Ask the pandit if there is anything for the family to do afterwards.
What you and your family do
Ask whether the person or child needs to attend and who should sit for the puja. This depends on which shanti you are booking.

Temple tickets, transport, accommodation, special offerings, venue hire, meals and prasad delivery are separate unless your quote includes them. Any tax or extra charge will be stated before payment.
