Angarak Shanti
अंगारक शांतिMangal–Rahu pujan and mantra japa, with the havan discussed before booking.
Why is this puja performed?
Angarak Shanti is a puja connected with Mangal and Rahu in astrology. It is normally arranged when a pandit has recommended it after discussing the birth chart. The family prays for peace, patience and harmony.
This is not the same as Mangal Bhaat Puja. Ask the pandit which mantras will be recited, how many times, and whether a bhaat offering is part of your booking.
When families arrange it
- A specific Mangal–Rahu shanti recommendation
- A graha-shanti puja for you or your family
- A date settled with the officiating pandit
How the puja is performed
The steps below explain what usually happens. Before you book, the pandit will confirm the readings, their number and any differences at your temple.
Agree the Mangal–Rahu rite
Explain the advice you have received. The pandit will confirm the Mangal–Rahu puja, the place and any bhaat offering you want to include.
Sankalp and Ganesh puja
You take the sankalp in the name of the person receiving the shanti. The puja begins with Ganesh worship.
Shiva and graha pujan
The pandit performs Shiva and graha pujan. You make the offerings he gives you in the order he explains.
Mangal–Rahu mantra recitation
The pandit or team recites the Mangal–Rahu mantras to the number confirmed in your booking.
Havan and agreed additional offering
You join the havan if it is included. Bhaat or any special temple offering is made only where it was arranged beforehand.
Purnahuti and aarti
The havan closes with purnahuti, then shanti prayers and aarti. Ask the pandit about anything you need to do after the puja.
What you and your family do
Ask the pandit how long you need to sit and which parts you should attend. Tell us separately if you need to join from another city.
