How the puja is performed
The steps below explain what usually happens. Before you book, the pandit will confirm the readings, their number and any differences at your temple.
Chowki and sankalp

Ganesh pujan
You begin with Ganesh puja, offering flowers, durva and the other materials prepared for the ceremony.
Kalash and Lakshmi dhyan
The pandit performs the kalash puja and Lakshmi dhyan. If you already worship the same idol daily, tell him so he can follow the appropriate custom.
Lakshmi puja and archana
You offer water, sandal, flowers, incense, a lamp and bhog while the pandit recites Lakshmi’s names or the chosen stotra.
Offerings for your home or business
If arranged, account books, tools or symbolic coins are placed for worship. You make the prayer for your household or business.
Aarti and prasad
You join Lakshmi–Ganesh aarti and share prasad. The lamps are placed according to the Diwali or household custom you follow.
