Gaya1.5–2 hoursEstimated from ₹11,000

Why is this puja performed?

Lakshmi–Ganesh Puja is commonly held at Diwali, for a new shop or business, or as a household puja. Families pray for well-being, prosperity and good judgement in their work. Ganesh is worshipped first, followed by Lakshmi.

Tell us if you want to include account books, work tools or a new idol in the puja. The pandit will explain what to prepare.

When families arrange it

  • Diwali
  • A shop or business opening
  • A household Lakshmi observance

How the puja is performed

The steps below explain what usually happens. Before you book, the pandit will confirm the readings, their number and any differences at your temple.

  1. Chowki and sankalp

Lakshmi and Ganesh images or murtis are placed on a clean chowki. You take the sankalp for your home or business.

  2. Ganesh pujan

You begin with Ganesh puja, offering flowers, durva and the other materials prepared for the ceremony.

  3. Kalash and Lakshmi dhyan

The pandit performs the kalash puja and Lakshmi dhyan. If you already worship the same idol daily, tell him so he can follow the appropriate custom.

  4. Lakshmi puja and archana

You offer water, sandal, flowers, incense, a lamp and bhog while the pandit recites Lakshmi’s names or the chosen stotra.

  5. Offerings for your home or business

If arranged, account books, tools or symbolic coins are placed for worship. You make the prayer for your household or business.

  6. Aarti and prasad

You join Lakshmi–Ganesh aarti and share prasad. The lamps are placed according to the Diwali or household custom you follow.

What you and your family do

The family or business owner joins the sankalp and offerings. Let the pandit know about a new idol or any business custom you follow.
